Midwest Security

About Midwest Security

With offices around the great lakes, Midwest Security focuses on providing healthcare for small and mid-sized employers. Since its formation in 1974, Midwest Security has become a leader in the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, and Illinois. Some of its services include Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO), dental plans, term life insurance, and short-term disability insurance.

However, in 2002, Midwest Security was acquired by UnitedHealthcare, a division of UnitedHealth Group. Today, it is part of a giant corporation that serves over 65 million Americans. Even with its corporate changes, Midwest Security continues to maintain its local community feel. It hosts a 5K run on its headquarters in order to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. Midwest Security also sponsors the Boys and Girls Club, as well as Adopt-a-Family for needy families.
